Ingredients
1 cup flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
1 egg
1/2 cup lowfat milk
2 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup cooked rice
2 tbsp minced green onion
2 tbsp parsley flakes *
2 tbsp minced fresh dill *
Directions
Combine the flour, sugar, and baking powder in a bowl. Stir to mix.
Beat the egg, milk, and oil together. Add to the flour mixture along
with the remaining ingredients. Mix just until the batter is blended.
Spoon into oiled muffin tins or papper muffin cups. Bake in a
400-degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until brown. * may
substitute 2 teaspoons of dried herbs. From The ADA Holiday Cookbook.

Types of dietThe Atkins’ Diet Originating way back in the 1960s, the atkins diet achieved most of its fame during the last decade. Having many well known film stars amongst its supporters, it claims to allow fat reduction whilst encouraging you to eat many of the foods you love, such as fatty meat and hard cheese. With the atkins diet it is considered good to eat fat and protein, it is the carbs that must be avoided. It is referred to as a low carbohydrate, high protein, nutrition and weight loss system. With this diet, the foods you should avoid are processed and refined sugar, milk, white bread, starchy vegetables, white rice and white flour, including cereals and pasta made from white flour. Unlike other diets, on the atkins diet the foods you are encouraged to eat are nutrient-rich unprocessed foods like meat, fish and, as a result, poultry. You also can eat shellfish, regular full fat cheese, butter and, as a result, olive oil.
